Hello whoever looks at this:

Gelatinus Cube has some announcements.
#1: This blog is going to become more active, featuring videos, drawings, and other cool stuff.
#2: We are in the process of creating our first music video. All we need now is some friends to be extras.
#3: Our next show is on September 30th (930) at the Purple Grape (171 E. 17th Ave. Columbus Ohio). It will feature The Hedgehogs Dillema (Cleveland, features Sam Touarti from "Chop Chop" and her "bro bro" Anthony who is the man by all regards), Nick Babikas Drug Nightmere, and Messenger Birds Now featuring Matt Chalko from Disaster March, Kattywhompus, and recently Gelatinus Cube, Pete Milkovic from the Distractions and Stomp the Condor, and Gene Bernardo from the Distractions. This will be Messenger Birds Nows first show which is very exciting, they have been bustin buns in the basement of the Purple Grape for months, and they are finally ready to sonically caress your earbuds with the best of the best of the best tunes.

Thats it yo.

"Been a While" - Staind (Totally Cooool)

I haven't posted anything in quite sometime, and I'm bored here at my work computer that has become my home computer because I haven't had a working computer in months, except for this working computer at work. Which is meant for work. And it works.

Anyway, this Friday, once again, at the Scarlet and Grey, we are playing. Please come out, we are going to have a rag-tag crew of filmers, filmin' to the oldies. Then Chavo is gonna make a SWEEEET! edit of it all and we'll put it up somewhere to get serious views. That is this Friday, April 2nd. Show starts at 9 pm.

Also, there is potentially a show on the 15th of April in the oval of OSU campus, at that outside theater thing where I watched some lady talk about how the pots should be legal in Ohio.

Moving on, we are playing at Capital University, for an Earth Day/Student Government benefit on the 22nd of April. We will be sharing the stage with Mojoflo and Nick Tolford. Whoa, Columbus' two premiere acts alongside one of the greatest bands to exist since ever? This will certainly be the show of your's or anyone else's life. So come or I'll punch your grandmother in the stomach.

If you can't make any of these shows, there (maybe) is another show on the 23rd. I have zero details of this show.

Also, go download the album if you haven't. And if you have? Do it again! It makes us feel more appreciated.

Thanks?
Tim

Flashbacks and Bad Memories

Hello all, this is a compilation of unreleased material circa 2006. We wrote it all while recording "Overseen by Computers with Tender Loving Care". 3 and a half years later, we released it. The linuep on this was John Saige, Mike Hayes, Pat Chase, and Sean Castanien. It took us a long time to finally get to it, but, it is now yours to enjoy, you can download it here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?t0jcu1vtzz2

Otherwise known as "Abbey Chode", it features these "Old Standards"

1. Flashbacks and Bad Memories
2. Swing Low
3. Adelaide
4. Polaris

Once again, it is not new material, its old stuff, but nonetheless, enjoy!

MORE SHOWS

There is a show this Saturday, at the Scarlet and Grey Cafe in Columbus Ohio, the cover charge will be 5 dollars, and it will feature Jakob Foskuhl and Carolyn Dever.

ALSO in bigger news we will be doing two nights in New York City back to back in March -

The Shrine, March 24th, 10 pm
The National Underground, March 25th (time TBA)

So, if for some reason, you are a fan of us, and want to go check us out in New York, we would LOVE to have you come on down.

THIRDLY, at an "undisclosed date" we will be releasing an EP called "Flashbacks and Bad Memories", which will contain some of the "B-sides" from our 2006 album "Overseen by Computers with Tender Loving Care". So basically, its a release of "new" old material.

Was that enough quotations for one paragraph?

We are playing a show at Now Thats Class in Lakewood for free on Sunday. Its going to be a blast-erooni. Also we will be eating at Rally's before the show. However, nobody will be allowed to go to Rally's while we are at Rally's because we've had paparazzi issues when eating at this particular Rally's before, so we got a private security force to get rid of everyone.

Whoa. Whoa! WHOA!!! ya.

So the album will be released officially for download come this Wednesday September 30th, at 9:30 p.m. or something dumb like that. The link will be posted for that at the appropriate time. There will be a listening party at the GCube House, on Wednesday at 9:30. Come hang out, drink some drinks, listen to some music, make some friends, lose some friends, apologize for getting to drunk and yelling at your friends, and pray that Chavo doesn't make any animations of extremely offensive ideas you might get.

As you can see the artwork is up for your viewing pleasure. It was created by our friend Sammi Nummi and I think it is most excellent. I will now thank her from the bottom of my heart. Thank you Sammi, from the bottom of my heart.

I would also like to personally thank Mike Hayes for doing a crackerjack job on the album, he committed a lot of time and effort to it, and it far exceeded mine or anyone elses expectations. Thanks to Vilk, for just being an all around awesome with everything he's helped us with: booking shows, releasing Poe-Tay-Toe on Grundale, and all that other stuff. A round of applause for Dan for letting me use his amp like it's mine for the past year or so. Also, a huge thank you to Mike Fromnex for putting up with us practicing all the time. You probably don't know that we address you as "Mike Fromnex", but we do. I'm sure everyone else in the band wants to thank certain people, but I'll let them do that.

If there's anyone I forgot, well I'm sorry, you just aren't worth remembering. For real though, I'm very proud of this album, I think it will shock, awe, inspire, and TOTALLY PULVERIZE your ear muscles. Listen, enjoy it, or hate it, either way, let us know what you think, and spread the word of the Lord.

Thanks for listening,
Tim
